Stunning Hair Show organised by City College students

Hairdressing NVQ students wowed a sell-out audience this week with their Hair Volution show, which showcased cutting edge looks and techniques.

Students on the Level 3 NVQ course presented a range of styles inspired by the themes of vintage, glam and rock. As well as showing off their work, students were also on hand to explain the techniques used and how they had interpreted the given themes.

The show was attended by a number of local salons as well as friends and family. The Level 3 NVQ programme is for students already working in a salon environment and who have already completed the Level 2 qualification. This is a prestigious course as illustrated by the spectacular styles on show.

Dick Palmer, Principal of City College Norwich, said:

“Hair Volution is the culmination of a year of hard work by the students. It’s great to be able to celebrate their achievements with this show.

“It was excellent to see so many local salons represented at the show. City College is delighted to continuing working in close partnership with local hair and beauty businesses.”

Elements of the NVQ course include creating a variety of looks using cutting techniques, promoting products or services and developing and enhancing your creative hairdressing skills.
