Celebrity Chef Adds Spice to Fundraising Dinner to Help Change Lives in Bulgaria

Television chef Cyrus Todiwala OBE, who runs Café Spice Namasté in London, worked alongside trainee chefs from City College Norwich last night for a special charity dinner.  The evening was organised to raise funds for Phoenix Inspire, a charity set up by former Head of the Hotel School, Mick Cooper, which creates hope and opportunity for some of the poorest people in Bulgaria by training them to become chefs.  

Grand Master Albert Roux inspires the chefs of tomorrow

City College Norwich’s Hotel School was honoured to welcome back to its Debut Restaurant the grand master of cookery Albert Roux, owner of the 2-Michelin Star restaurant Le Gavroche, who visited the College on Thursday. Students on the Advanced Diploma in Professional Cookery course worked alongside Monsieur Roux in the Debut Restaurant’s kitchen to prepare a 5-course meal, prepared with locally sourced ingredients for 45 members of the public.
