Students Take Over Norwich Hotel

Nearly 70 students from the Hotel School at City College Norwich have taken over the Holiday Inn Norwich North over the past 2 days.  The College students have been doing all of the tasks associated with running a major, 4 star, city hotel including reception, housekeeping, food preparation and service, with the hotel staff on hand to step in and assist only if required.

Bidewells Norfolk Food Festival - Top notch dining at City College Norwich

The following events are currently planned for this years’ food festival:

Thursday 17th September
Dinner with Albert Roux In associations with Roux Fine Dining and Reeds of Norwich.
Debut Restaurant. 7.00pm start.
Cost £25.00.

Sunday 20th September
The Big Sunday Roast
Enjoy a family style lunch at The Hotel School.
Debut Restaurant. 12.00noon for 12.30pm.
Cost £21.00.

Team Receive Award for Pro Chefs Course

Head of the Hotel School at City College Norwich, Steve Thorpe, received commendation from colleagues and industry peers this week as part of the team to pick up the British Hospitality Award for Training at their annual meeting and luncheon at the Grosvenor House Hotel in London on 24th June.

The awards recognise a number of industry leaders and organisations and were presented by Lord Mayor of London, Boris Johnson.

College Hotel School to Celebrate Student Success with Oscars Style Awards Ceremony

Students from the City College Norwich Hotel School will be receiving awards for their achievements in a gala dinner to be held at Dunstan Hall, in Norwich. Following a canapé reception and fireworks, the award presentations will take place during a 3-course dinner after which students, staff and local employers who have sponsored the awards can enjoy a bar and disco in a spectacular Oscars-style celebration.
